A Discussion

Well this painting is perhaps the best work that I have ever done in terms of technique. "The Honda" , I called it-took approximately 40 hours to complete. This clip shows the some of the process that was involve in such work: the preliminary sketch, the rough color stage, and the final refining stage. I started with the background and then work my way "forward." Although it didn't receive any award I still liked it because of its originality: I made it. As far as competition goes the "liberal judges" were looking for more works that tell a story. I'm more a of technical guy you know, and plus I don't paint just to please the judges. I paint because I enjoy painting. But I will admit winning is better than losing :D.
